Go kart with dirtbike engine shifting problem.. HELP?

i made a homemade go cart that looks pretty bad ***. its powered by a 110cc lifan engine. right now we use a steel rod welded to the foot shift of the engine. we are looking for a better way to shift! any thoughts?

2-way cable like boat throttle

hand throttle hooked to shifting linkage

1 side for up shifting 1 for down shifting

istall a bracket for pullys to hook cables to the shifter

Install an electric shifter.

No elaborate shift linkage required.

A pedal & linkage is all I use  If your c***k tranny is still good The cart is a lot of weight for it Mine is a 450  but the linkage works pretty well just a rod may be at a off angle causing problems
