  1. i raced go-karts for 3 years to have fun mainly but also to get to know more about racing such as lines to drive, just how the engine works, and stuff like that.

and from some experience from kart racing im driven a crate late model if you know what tht is.

not sure if it helped but hope it did

    im 14 to

  2. go karts for going cart/irl.  quarter midgets for dirt. all depends on which career you wanna go too!!! think carefully on the choice.

  3. quarter midgets they r extremely safe anf fun great for every one 5 to i think 16 or 17 but great sport and think jeff gordan started in quarter midget same with mark martins sun i raced with him its a great sport on asphal go with quarter midget

  4. Go-Karts

thats how ALL formula one drivers start jus about

the best ones start with go-karts....look at Schumacher

go-kart champion to formula 1 world champion

    cant be bad ;)

  5. Not sure.

I like Go Karts though (:

    They are fun!

  6. I believe Jeff Gordon started out in karts, THEN went to midgets, etc. I think Dale Earnhardt, Jr. did it that was as well. It all depends on how you feel about the genre of racing that type of equipment.

Are the go-karts dirt-based, or are they the lay-down types that will do 110 mph on the big NASCAR circuit tracks? I'm sure both are fun in their own right. It all depends on what you're looking for. I'd start with karting first, then move to Midgets if you feel you want to move up to a more car-like ride.

  7. i have been around karting most of my life. i personally believe karts are a better way to go and teach you more as a driver. quarter midgets are fun but most drivers out grow them and go to karts anyways. i say learn to turn both right and left. quarter midget engines are alot more expensive to maintain if you wanna be fast too. do what makes you happy but as a professional, i like karts best. alot more opportunities and different tracks. don't do just ovals too.
