couldn't give a c**p if its the first game or the last, we beat carlton fair and square.

to all the doubters, we are not that bad, heaps of injuries last year, that side was the team barring mcmahon that played last year, we have coughlan to come back soon, numb 2 draft pick, cotchin, who is a gun. maybe tivendale, couple more who will be pushing for selection, morton, rance.

hee hee...how much did JUDD cost Mr Pratt? We can only wonder what JUDD and his family and girlfriend got and in return he couldnt even win the first game for them...JUDD won WCE a final (with his minutes on ground and 2 goals) so you would expect a better return than tonight's performance in 2008!

You certainly did WIN the game, your lads tried hard all night, and for a wonder, so did Carlton, but not hard enough. Congrats Tiges(lovely team, pity about the sash color).

Judd, like Buckley, can't win a game, or a premiership on his own - it wasn't until the maggies developed some good young blokes that Collingwood became a contender.

There are a couple of passable kids in the Carlton lineup and they were backed up by one or two seniors - but the boy who dropped the Richmond player in front of goal is symbolic of the culture that Carlton needs to rid itself of before they can be taken seriously.

Tigers were good, they won a lot of admirers last year with how they kept trying (unlike Carlton). I'm glad they won.

to the first answerer - blonddude... If you love aussies, please learn our national game (known as AFL or Aussie Rules) before you answer an AFL question! ;)

to (no) insighthere... you're an idiot! one man does not make a team! Judd will not single handedly win any game for any club he play's at because AFL is a TEAM sport (well an exception would be an Under 12's match or something!). His performance got nothing to do with his girlfriend or family. He still got (i think) 21 possesions and 5 tackles.

Every player's form, effectiveness and stats fluctuate throughout the season and also he didn't play all the matches from the pre-season. Don't judge a Judd by just one performance.

And also for the same reasons (one or in this case two players do NOT make a team) West Coast are not 'old foes'... they will still be competitive and will probably finish top8. They still have a good midfield and strong defence plus Q.Lynch up forward

And For Your Information I'm a St Kilda Supporter (just in case you thought i was a one-eyed blues supporter or something)

And lastly, Great Win from the Tigers! Unfortunately I couldn't watch the Game because I was working. I wish Deledio would get more possesions and/or goals because I have him in my dream team.

Also, unfortunately the tigers are not going to win the premiership... well not this year anyways. I think StKilda, Geelong, Hawthorn or Port Adelaide will win it.

Edit: to the geelong barracker... I don't think Essendon will be battling for the bottom spot.. but I wouldn't be surprised though if they did finish as low as 15th.

to romper stomper...I agree with what you've said except rance won't play for some weeks and tivendale is getting on a bit and is not as good as he used to be.

you may have had some injuries but I don't think even if the injured players from last season would've got richmond any higher than 10th.

I am not sure how to write this, it is my worthless opinion, but Tiger fans, don't get too excited over beating Carlton.

Carlton, Essendon, Melbourne and Richmond will be battling for the wooden spoon and playing each other may be the only way any of the four above mentioned sides wins this season.

Richo got a bit of help Thursday night, I hope he doesn't expect it each week. Judd is a one-man side, so Carlton did all they could.

Just my opinion.
