I live in Richmond,Virginia and I do not like living in Virgina or the South at all. I don't even like Northen Virginia or Washington DC or Baltimore either, I want to be up North--New Jersey near NYC.

I want to Major in Social Work--both Under and Graduate Studies.

I did research through the Labor Board of Statics and New Jersey pays more for their Social Workers, and Employees more than Virginia.

... HOWEVER VCU has one of the best Graduate Schools--and hey tuition is cheap as h**l because I live here.

HOWEVER... I am 22 and still live at home, I really do not like my life here in Virginia. No matter what I do or how hard I try I can't make good friends, find good dates or anyone that understands me. I feel like a STRANGER in my hometown--however in NYC I feel at Home.

SO WHAT TO DO..??????

A) Live in a place where I am Miserable and everybody is fake to me.. for the Cheap Tuition.

B) Move to a Place I feel at Home, but will def. Owe more in School Loans.

  1. I hope you know that if one area of the country pays better it usually means the cost of living is higher ... just food for thought

and social workers really don't get paid as well as say a RN

but Social Workers are so important and it is a great proffesion, so

in that vein, I would finish school where you are,

the jobs in any part of the country will take you.. they don't pick in regards to which school at all.

then maybe you could even save some money

    and by the way

    go to www.payscale.com

they have a cost of living calculator

that way you can see what you would get paid in which ever city you decide on

and please don't forget NYC is sooo $$$$$$$

    good luck
