Question:

Go to australia?

I have lots of connections to australia from school and experiences but I am American and am currently in college. I am debating whether or not to go back, I really feel the need to see my friends there because it feels like that is stilll a certain home to me. The problem is it costs a lot and I don't have that kind of income because I am in college. Is it worth it to spend $2000 on a plane ticket just to visit, or should I wait a couple years so I can visit for a long time?

  1. Why not wait until you graduate and then come for 12 months on a Working Holiday visa? Another alternative is that perhaps you could come here to finish your education. Of course that won't work if you've already paid for the rest of your college tuition, but it could work if you still have the tuition money set aside.

  2. Well I understand your need to see your friends but if it will cost you funds that you can ill afford I would wait till you can stay longer. We will still be here when you come we are not going anywhere.Phone them its still a good way to keep in contact till you are able to visit Oz.Good Luck

  3. Wait and then stay for 6-12 months for a working holiday and see Australia and your friends properly.  Who knows, you might even stay permanently...

  4. Its not really worth it if you can only afford to stay for a short while. Wait till you finish college then come over on a working holiday for a year or so.
