I am having a hard time of where I want to go to college. I am planning on going to U.F. but it seems like a lot of people apply there and I may not get accepted. But my problem is that there are other colleges north of Miami that are pretty decent like F.S.U. or U.C.F. but I don't know if I should go there. I really want to live on campus because I don't want to live with my parents. But i was thinking i can live on campus near my home like F.I.U. south campus or somewhere else but i don't know if that would be a stupid move on my part where i can just live with my parents and commute to school that way i will be saving money. I think i said a little to much but this is what i have been contemplating since my junior year of high school and i really don't know what to do...

  1. Don't go to FIU.  You will have a much better "college experience" if you go up to UCF or FSU. I've been a student at FIU for the past 5 years, and always have a great time when I visit friends in Tallahassee, Gainesville, or Orlando.

I will be going to FSU for my Master's and I regret every day that I did not go for my undergrad.

Also, if you do not like it up there, you can always come back home to FIU.

  2. I kinda had the sam problem as you. In my opinion if you are really looking to live on campus DO IT and go away if you can do it and you're parents are willing to pay. I'm telling you from hands on experience...once you see all your friends out having a great time in their dorms and meeting new people/being in a new town...you're going to really regret it. Anyways if you end up hating it you can always transfer to F.I.U!
