Goa. Candolim. - 3* or + for single (mature) female traveller.?

Hi folks,

I am looking to go to Candolim in Goa next February. Can anyone recommend a 3* or + , near the beach as I understand to beach shacks are fun, also want to be near the stalls, tailors & atmosphere. Plus any good taxis that will take you on trips, rather than go via hotel rep. rip offs.

I have just booked for Dec.-Jan. staying at Magnum resort in Candolim. Good deal and close to everything.

Also solo mature female traveller. Enjoy.

Leela Palace Goa is the best , a little expensive but you may be worth it. I were !
