Goa Girl to grab the Gain Feeds Yorkshire St Leger – Heat 3
The third heat of the Gain Feeds Yorkshire St Leger will be raced over 661 metres at Doncaster on Friday, 24th August. The £150 prize money will get contested by Rays Scout, Goa Girl, Trickys On Fire, Charleys Noire, Peggys Style and Balmi Blue.
The recently accomplished entry on the line-up is the two-year-old, Goa Girl. She started racing just this season and has experienced fluctuations in rankings ever since then.
She ended second in her career debut after two training sessions and then struck the debut win on 10th April, 2012 at Monmore over 480 metres. The two-year-old did not wait for long to race away, got crowded but broke through and finally took
29.00 seconds to conclude the race winning by the margin of 5 ¼ lengths.
Crash’s daughter then won the Grade A4 480 metres flat on 19th April, 2012. Even during this race she got crowded but ran on strongly and made it to the other end of the wire in 29.04 seconds. She escaped defeat by a neck’s margin and set the
favourite entry of the race, Big Cloverhill, who timed the track distance in 29.06 seconds.
The second position in the Grade A3 480 metres flat on 3rd May, 2012 deprived the two-year-old out of, Sion Sleek, of the possible hat-trick. She missed the race by 3 ¼ lengths and settled the distance in 29.25 seconds.
The last three races of the Chris Allsopp trained presented the same scenario as at the beginning of the career. She bagged back-to-back and then failed to strike a hat-trick once again.
The brindle and white b***h won the Bradley Wiggins Stayers on 27th July, 2012 at Perry Barr over 660 metres. She broke into an early pace, took lead from the fourth position, bounced back even after getting crowded and clocked the time distance
in 40.59 seconds.
Goa Girl’s most recent success was in the Sittingbourne Superstayers on 5th August, 2012 at Sittingbourne over 708 metres. She won the race in 44.61 seconds while just leading by half a length.
Ending fifth in the very next race led to the training of the two-year-old over 275 metres at Doncaster on 17th August, 2012. The session has enhanced her chances of winning the race tonight.
