Goa Storm to strike for success in Sprint Trophy
Goa Storm will surely storm to victory at Nottingham racecourse where he is going to participate in the Betfred Fot Gold Champions Day Sprint Trophy tonight, May 14. The Open Race over a distance of 305 metres will start at 21:52 (GMT).
Pursuing the prize cheque of £150, Goa Storm will test his racing credentials against Clomantagh Rock, Westmead Shaw, Funworld Boy, Slick Stone and Gold Finch.
The C. Allsopp-trained black and white dog is on a hat-trick at the moment. The three-year-old novice runner excellently won a race each on May 3 and 7, 2012. Prior to this, the brilliant hound had gained a runner-up position on April 22.
Considering these outstanding achievements, the bookmakers have shown confidence on the dashing dog. The talented son of Express Ego out of Murlens Madrid is likely to strive every nerve to come up to the expectations of the market.
Goa Storm’s chances to finish first in the Sprint Trophy are as high as 90 percent provided he keeps his stamina and momentum intact on the track.
Among his competitors, Funworld Boy looks to be strong enough and he can impede the hot favourite hound. The C. Price-trained blue and white dog bagged a couple of consecutive triumphs each in March and April 2012. The maverick son of Droopys Vieri out of Marlfield Lucy elegantly finished first in his last start on May 3.
This dog can easily trigger an upset if Goa Storm spares him a little room during the race. The tug of war between Funworld Boy and Goa Storm will make the event somewhat interesting.
Westmead Shaw is too likely to have a great time tonight. N. Savva’s black dog won two races in a row during the last month, gaining a lot of confidence and spirit. He can prove to be a big threat for both of the above hounds.
Thus, the race will be thrilling and amazing enough. A large number of spectators will turn out to the venue to enjoy the mega action. Good luck to all the hounds who are going to entertain their fans tonight.
