Ok, so I have a 13 hour stopover in Sri Lanka [Columbo], do I need any type of visa for this stopover, also, do I need to collect my luggage and check in again for flight to Goa from Columbo?? Also, I really really want to stay in a beach hut on sticks by the beach, do they exist and how can I find out about them. Thanks for any help.

  1. You need to check with your airlines for all that.

As for Srilanks, enquire from their Embassy.

Goa has beaches with huts. Go there and find out.

That is best. All are not INet savvy.

    Have a good trip.

  2. there lot of good churches

  3. calangut beach, anjuna beach have many beach huts... jut go their personally and enquire and tht is the best way to find the exact scenic beauty that you want....

  4. no you won't need a visa for sri lanka, has your only there for connecting flight, your baggage is generally put on to your connection flight to Goa, so no need to collect. As for the beach huts on stilts, you need to try south Goa, Palolem is the place to go to. lovely beach. beach huts are about £3/4 pound a night, maybe cheaper, and its a lot cooler cos your right on the beach, well set back a little amongst the coconut trees, no need for air con. you won't find these in the north well not in calangute any way, plenty of beach shacks, yes, but these are for eating and drinking in. no beach huts,, have a lovely time, just got back myself 2 weeks ago, was manic, never go Xmas n/year, too expensive and too many people
