I'm an ice hockey goalie and I see all this stuff about special cut jerseys, but there expensive and require shipping. Can't I just wear regular player jerseys in oversized sizes, I mean thats what my team uniform is so y can't i practice in regular jerseys. Do they make that much of a difference?

  1. the main difference is in the sleeves, but it also helps to fit the top of your chest/arm pad better. if it's a matter of price (I am well aware of the expence of new gear) I have a couple of goalie cut jerseys I am looking to sell. what colour combination do you need and how much can you spend?

  2. You could do that, but the thing with a  goalie cut is that it has shorter sleeves for the size- so it fits all the equipment without the sleeves running long and bunching up or running into your gloves.

I would try It, and if if bugs you get a goalie cut. If not, stick with it.

  3. I use a regular jersey thats bigger than my size. I just use a safety pin to keep the sleeves from my trapper and blocker
