Goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Timo-Hildebrand-c35115 trains with second division side Eintracht Frankfurt- Bundesliga news
Former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfB-Stuttgart-c40879 goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand is currently training with 2.Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. The player is a free agent after his contract with Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon expired in the summer and wants
to revive his career again.
The German international was a first choice goalkeeper with Stuttgart when the club won the Bundesliga in 2007 but his career has been on a decline since he moved out of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 the same year.
The 32-year old joined Spanish side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 but failed to make his mark and returned the following year with Hoffenheim but failed to cement his place in the first team again. He was offered a one year contract with Sporting Lisbon
last summer but did not make a single league appearance and was not offered a new deal.
Hildebrand claimed that he would love to play in the second division as he wants to revive his career again. The shot stopper admitted that he has had offers from other European clubs but insisted that he wants to stay in Germany
as he has not had good experiences when playing in other leagues.
“I have not ruled out the second division. I have considered a few options from abroad, but have had two bad experiences there. I am now just working with humility. You only really recognise mistakes after you have committed them.
I have had a lot of time to consider things and realise what went wrong,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former Valencia man admitted that he has made a lot of mistakes in the past but wants to put everything behind him to start again. He added that he is relishing the chance to train with Frankfurt as it is a big club and revealed
that he also has friends there.
“The best thing is now being able to train with a team again, and I do know a few players here too,” he concluded.
Timo Hildebrand made a total of 221 Bundesliga appearances for VfB Stuttgart and also has seven international caps to his name.
