  1. james just blow that tree up id try c4 or dinamite that wil do the trick =]

  2. I don't know in what part of the world you live and it depends upon the degree of damage to the tree. If it is bleeding sap badly it could be in danger. Normally a coating of anti-fungal solution would be sufficient or possibly dusting with the same in powder form. I would not think applying tar would help but without seeing the damage its difficult to say. I can give you a simmilar example. My neighbour's pig broke into my garden in my holiday cottage in India and ate all my hibiscus plants down practically to the stem. On asking advice from a friendly horticulturist he told me to snip off all the damaged branches to a clean cut, dust with antifungal powder and they would grow back. I was sceptical as the unmentionable pig had done a pretty good job. But low and behold within a couple of weeks they were sprouting out again and eventually recovered although they were set back considerably, Hard luck-I don't know what is worse-pigs or goats. Cut the damaged and gnawed branches to a clean cut to reduce water loss and reduce access by fungus and spores.

  3. I had several fruit trees and a goat. The goat stripped the fruit trees and they died.  The goat was taken to the auction.  She like to dance on my car too.

You might be able to find a tree wrap material to preserve the damaged area and it will act as the original bark.  Like putting a bandaid on it.  Try your local gardening center for this wrap
