Gobie fish?

In upstate NY Round Gobies have been an invasive species for the last year or two. I have heard that if you catch one, you should decapitate it and throw its body onto shore because they are eating all the bass, etc eggs. Today we caught it, and since we knew we weren't supposed to throw it back it, we brought it home and put it into a 10 gallon tank by itself. We aren't going to release it, so we need to know what to feed it? Its about 5in long and looks healthy. Right now the tank has stones on the bottom of half of it and we are thinking about putting sand on the other half? Any ideas?

at present the round gobie represents 1/2 off all the fish species buy weight in the great lakes,they have decimated many spawning beds of a variety of great lake species do with it what you please maybe feed it tropical fish flakes
