God haters, why do you boast about science? Is there truth in science? ?

Nope! According to my science textbook, "There is no truth in science. To most people, truth means something that is always accurate. In science, however, hypotheses and theories may change as new data emerge. It is tentative, whereas most people consider truth to be absolute." (btw, my textbook is from a non-religious institution).

so, my question is, why do you boast about science and how it "proves" you are correct, when it "can" change? You base your knowledge on science, but it can alwayss change!!!

Can you honestly admit that sometimes you go a bit "too far" when you say, the science says so, just because you can "see/prove" things, facts??

  1. All things considered, evidence is more convincing than faith.  Yes, people can misinterpret evidence to come to an incorrect conclusion.  More often than not, though, science leads us to very stable answers to questions about the world around us.  Faith requires accepting things as "truth" without any justification at all.

Actually, the fact that science leaves room for error is one of its strengths.  Errors can be corrected.  When a religion contains errors, its adherents are not allowed to acknowledge them, let alone change them.  So which is the better method for determining what is "true?"

  2. I 'm not a hater but so Science is real....God is real as well.....

  3. science asks question and looks at evidence to work out the most likely hypothesis, it's about finding things out and trying to understand the world.

religion tells you to believe no matter what, that's faith, a person can have faith in religion and still look for scientific explanations, if your faith is strong then not matter how well supported a scientific hypothesis is, you should be able to hold your religious faith apart from it. i think a lot of religious people can't do this, so feel threatened by science, some of the best scientists i know are religious as well.

science isn't going out to bring god down, if god was the best supported hypothesis to explain scientific observations, then a good scientist would accept that. though a good scientist would also continue to test that hypothesis to see if it can be disproved, however that hasn't happened.

science is a methodology of asking questions and looking for answers, faith isn't a default human condition, many people don't want to accept something as absolutely true just because they've been told to. many people don't need to know the truth, sometimes looking for it, even if you know you'll never know for sure, is much more rewarding.

i as a non-religious scientists, i don't hate god at all, i just don't believe, you can't hate something you don't believe in.

  4.   Science is about verifying and reasoning. Of course you can't be perfect. The bible claims it is a perfect manual yet it cannot be verified, observed, or in any,way shape or form logically maintained

  5. Depends. Different people interpret what is true in different ways. I reckon science is a form of truth, as certain facts will not change.

"Can you honestly admit that sometimes you go a bit "too far" when you say, the science says so, just because you can "see/prove" things, facts??

No as I don't go too far. I don't openly boast about science. But it has done alot for us. Basically every development. So I choose science over religion. Good day.

  6. Science doesn't profess to be constantly right about everything.  It seeks to disprove itself, thus furthering our understanding.  It is non-biased in the conclusions it finds, as any conclusion furthers our understanding, whether people may like it or not.

I like this flowchart as a nice example:

And you'd be hard-pressed to find any "God haters" here.  I, for one, happen to not believe in said deity, thus making it impossible for me to hate him/her/it.

  7. Science & Spirituality are interconnected

  8. i dont hate god,

i just dont belive in it

and what more than science do we have?

  9. i stopped caring after you said 'god haters' lol

  10. Good science is observable, measurable and repeatable. That's it, that's all and that's why.

  11. 1) God-hater is a misnomer. Are you a leprechaun-hater?

    2) Atheists don't boast about science proving the nonexistence of God. We are well aware the existence of God can be neither proven nor disproven.

    3) If science does change, we are okay with that. Theories evolve all the time. It will not crush my worldview if an important scientific discovery is made tomorrow.

  12. Says the girl as she types on a computer.

    Science is productive.  Religion isn't.

  13. I don't know where you got your book, but science is proven, such as fossils.....proven by carbon dating.  I own some over 450-million years old I dug myself....... And, I'm not a "god hater", I just have yet to see any real proof of existence, and the bible isn't proof, it was written by men.

  14. Just for the record, Atheists are not god haters, we are god non believers. Satanists (some of them anyway) would be god haters, but they believe... just like your babble says, even demons believe and tremble...

As an atheist I do neither.

  15. I'm a christian and believe that evolution happened with Gods hand

  16. science makes sense.

  17. There is scientific truth in science.  That's more truth than can be found in religion.

When Einstein came up with relativity it showed that there was more to gravity then what Newton figured out.  However, under normal circumstances, Newton's Laws are still as valid as ever.

  18. God IS Truth and Science!  Take the "evolution" science that is man-made...

Microevolution is the Variation WITHIN genetic boundaries; even our own children have different variations in eye, hair and skin color - a better name for microevolution would be micro variation!

However, it is NOT evolution at all because the genetic material and variations already exist.

A worm cannot turn into an eagle!   That would be true evolution or what is more commonly known as macroevolution.

When we hear about a frog turning into a prince we KNOW that’s a fairytale – yet when scientists seeking only to be right, not absolute truth, tell us that a salamander turned into a human millions or billions of years ago – we call that Macro evolutionary science instead of Science fiction, which is the more accurate term!

Evolution is the greatest engine of atheism invented by the mind of man!

  19. Most christians accept science as a valuable tool. Saying that christianity and science are mutually exclusive is a false argument and it irritates me thoroughly when people assert it, christian or atheist.

When I get sick I go to the doctor. When I feel lost and alone I talk to God. They satisfy different needs.
