Meydan will host the exciting Godolphin Mile Sponsored By Etisalat today, on 31st March, 2012. The fourteen runners will be competing for a purse of £387,097 over a 1 mile Tapeta.
African Story, Do It All and Sandagiyr, owned by Godolphin are attracting the most attention in the market today. They will be competing against Red Jazz, Dux Scholar, Snaafy, Viscount Nelson, Haatheq, Derbaas, Shamalgan, First City, Barbecue Eddie,
Western Aristocrat and Richard’s Kid.

The Saeed Bin Suroor trained five-year-old gelding has been consistently delivering stellar performances since the season began.

He was mounted by jockey Frank Dettori in the Dubai Duty Free Foundation Handicap at Meydan on 26th January, 2012, and landed the victory 1 length ahead of Barbecue Eddie. He raced as a favourite with the odds of 6 to 4. Under
Dettori’s guidance, he tracked the leaders, and lead in the last 100 yards.
He entered the Firebreak Stakes Sponsored By Dubal (Group 3) at Meydan on 9th
February, 2012, with the odds of 9 to 2 and finished third. This time he was teamed up with jockey Mickael Barzalona, he ran well and chased the leaders. He fell ¼ of a length short of the victory, which was taken by Sandagiyr.
Under Dettori’s guidance, he raced in the Burj Nahaar Sponsored By Emirates Sky Cargo (Group 3) at the same track on 10th March, 2012. He triumphed, as he tracked the leaders and led in the last 1 ½ furlongs. He comfortably
broke through the wire first, 4 wide lengths ahead of Snaafy.
Sandagiyr bagged the victory in the Firebreak Stakes Sponsored By Dubal (Group 3) at Meydan on 9th February, 2012, which he entered with the odds of 20 to 1.

Ridden by Silvestre De Sousa, he made smooth progress throughout the race and finished ¼ of a length before Tamaathul.
The Saeed Bin Suroor trained four-year-old colt was the mount for Frankie Dettori in the Zabeel Mile Sponsored By Commercial Bank Of Dubai at Meydan on 1st March, 2012.
Also trained by Saeed Bin Suroor, Do It All, the 5-year-old son of Distorted Humor, out of mare Stupendous Miss, landed a victory in the Zabeel Mile Sponsored By Commercial bank Of Dubai at Meydan on 1st March, 2012. Under Silvestre
De Sousa, he led with two furlongs to go, comfortably crossing the finish line 1 ¾ lengths before Derbaas.
Shipped from the United States, Western Aristocrat will race at Meydan in his seasonal debut. The son of Mr. Greeley, out of Aristocratic Lady, succeeded in the Grade 1 Jamaica Handicap at Belmont Park on 8th October, 2011.
Godolphin is looking at a major victory today. All of their runners are in good shape, aiming to land the victory. African Story has the highest chance of winning compared to Sandagiyr, who may finish second followed by Do It All, who may acquire a
third place finish.
