Godolphin trainers prepare for the ninth and tenth fixture of the Carnival

Having dominated five out of the six races on the eighth fixture of the 2012 Dubai World Cup Carnival, Godolphin is ready to assault the next two fixtures that are due on the 16th and 17th of February.
Their tradition of flooding the field with their own entries stays intact as they have set aside thirty-two entries that will be seen in their blue silks on the designated dates.
The conflict between the two trainers, Saeed bin Suroor and Mahmood Al Zarooni grows intense with the two saddling a staggering twenty-three entries on the first night, Thursday, 16th February.
The feature race for Thursday is the Group 2 Al Fahidi Fort that is to be raced over a mile on turf. Along with his two aces, Delegator and Rio De La Plata, Saeed bin Suroor is expected to invade the track with a quartet team that gets completed with Colonial
and Do It All.
On 9th February he won the Group 2 Al Maktoum Challenge Round 2 sponsored by Dubal, through Mendip who was against the 6/4 favourite of the race, Master Of Hounds. The Group 3 Firebreak Stakes were claimed yet again by his trainee, Sandagiyr.
During the same fixture, Songcraft won the Dubal Potlines Trophy for Saeed bin Suroor. The fourth victory that the trainer bagged on the same meet was the Dubal Casthouse Trophy that was won by Spring Of Fame.
There are chances that Mahmood Al Zarooni will test Time Prisoner for the Group 2 Al Fahidi Fort. The five-year-old horse has already made two starts during the new season, winning the Longines Saint Imier Collection Handicap on 5th January. He
was third in his second start and will be racing a third time soon.
The 2/1 favourite, Kinglet won the Group 3 UAE 2000 Guineas for his trainer Mahmood Al Zarooni, on 9th February.
The feature race for the second ongoing day, Friday, 17th February, is the Group 2 Balanchine that is raced over nine furlongs on turf and is open for thoroughbred fillies and mares. Saeed bin Suroor will get represented through Dysphonia while
he has three more entries waiting for the handicaps that will complete the program.
