Goes Bang expected to cause an upset in Primus Telecom Derby Trial Stakes
Goes Bang is likely to cause an upset in the Primus Telecom Derby Trial Stakes at Henlow in England on Thursday, August 23, 2012. A victory in the Grade OR event will earn him a cash prize of £150 in the end.
Both the speed and stamina of all the participants will be put to a stern test in the 460 metres flat race, which is scheduled to start at 21:30 GMT. The bookies have shown their confidence in the skills of Millridge Duke, who has got the experience of running
in this class and his performances in recent times have been really good.
However, the favourite greyhound is not in dominant form at the moment and he will need to produce a special effort in order to claim the top spot in the end. He has been running quite regularly at Henlow, thus he will be fully aware of the conditions at
this venue. Despite that, the punters should not risk a lot of bets on him, as there are some decent runners lined up for action against him.
One of those participants is Goes Bang, who has been given a general starting price of 10 to 3 by the bookies. He does not have a lot of experience, but certainly possesses the talent to match the best in the business.
The C. Price’s trained hound appeared in a few trial events at the start of his career and performed decently in them. This was not enough for him to prove his talent, thus he was tested in a Grade OR race in July this year.
The black dog was priced 4 to 1 in his first ever race in this class and his performance was up to the mark. He displayed excellent speed and took the lead right from the start. No one was able to catch him afterwards and he took the top spot by three quarters.
Due to his splendid run, the bookies had rated Goes Bang as the favourite to succeed in his next two races. However, he failed to meet their expectations and left his team dejected. His performances were not bad though and his confidence level will still
be high.
Crash’s son out of Goes Wild will be making his fourth Grade OR appearance today and he will definitely be battling for victory in the end.
