Gogetitjen favourite for the Betfred Bookmakers Flat Race – Greyhound Racing Preview
Gogetitjen is likely to dominate the Betfred Bookmakers Flat Race at Sheffield in England on Thursday, February 9, 2012. The cash prize of winning the 500 metres event is £78. As usual, six runners will be fighting for the top position.
However, none of them has a better record than, Gogetitjen, who will enter with a starting price of 3 to 1. Her recent form has been terrific, and that helped the bookmakers in awarding her with a very good rate.
A. McKenna’s trained greyhound has three victories to her name out of the last five events she took part in. However, her last race did not prove to be an ideal one, as she managed to finish in an unimpressive fourth.
The reason for Gogetitjen’s dismal show last time was her bad start. She was crowded and lost momentum, allowing the other greyhounds to get away easily. Despite that, the bookmakers have shown faith in the b***h, and the punters will also be interested
in investing money on her.
The Betfred Bookmakers Flat Race favourite is the daughter of Killahan Phanter, out of Titanium Jenny, and was born in July, 2009.
Although the competition looks pretty much one sided at the moment, there are some other greyhounds who have the potential to win today’s event. One of them is L. Taylorson’s trained b***h, Liscahane Tip, who has a starting price of 7 to 2.
Although the second favourite greyhound has been inconsistent over the past few months, she has the ability to spring up a surprise every now and then. Her last race proved to be quite an impressive one, as she ended up on top of the table.
Liscahane Tip went into that event with a starting price of 5 to 2, and emerged victorious in the end. Although the margin of victory was not a big one, it does not really matter much.
Taylorson will be expecting another sound show by Liscahane Tip, who is the daughter of Westmead Hawk, out of Liscahane Ranger, and was born in January, 2009.
Equally dangerous greyhound, who has an excellent stamina, is Fives and Threes. He has been performing consistently over the past few months, and managed to finish in top three in his last four outings.
He exited his last race on a high, where Fives and Threes took the top position. Despite not being the favourite, he was dominant in the race, and won by a convincing margin.
M. Wainwright’s trained dog has also been awarded a starting price of 7 to 2. He is the son of Top Honcho, out of Heatherhill Lass, and was born in May, 2010.
The remaining three participants in the race Nats Choice, Knockdown Ginger and Adamant Shaw have been given a starting price of 4 to 1 by the bookmakers.
Out of these three, the best chances of winning are for Knockdown Ginger, who finished runner up in his last five races. Although victories have dried up for him, there is every chance that he can cause an upset.
L. Taylorson’s trained dog is the son of Tyrur Ted, out of Quanns Lady, and was born in April, 2008.
All participants in the race today have the potential of fighting for race victory. This makes it quite an interesting event for the spectators and the bettors.
