Goin to Berlin in Jan. What romantic places to see & restaurants to eat in are there for me and my girlfriend?

I'd like to take her to a really romantic restaurant (but I'm not rich). Would be grateful for your recommendations, especially if restaurant has a website

To be honest, you can't do any worse than just head into the Centre and take a look around, From Hauptbahnhoff (the central station) The Reichstag, Brandenburg gate, Alexanderplatz, Museum Island, Sony Centre etc are all within 15 minutes walk. To eat, look for somewhere off Friedrichstrasse, you'll find some great places, or near Alexanderplatz (by the giant communications ariel) or you could head off to the Sony Centre, they've got really nice Bar / Restaurants there that are affordable. I was there just before Christmas and found no shortages of nice places. Have a great time! :-)

You MUST go to the centre of the Old Town (old East) it is fantastic with alot of resturants etc. and reasonable, at least they were last year.  Lucky people, enjoy
