Going Back To England GCSE's???

Ok well i am going back to england and i am in year 10 now and i know i will be in year 10 when i go back to england but my question is , is there anything that I have to have in order to go into year 10 UK . Like a good Good GPA or mantain a's and b's . and another thing is if I fail the year in america will i still be able to go into year 10 in england?

  1. England doesn't seem to be so results-based. For example, taking your GCSEs are mandatory as you have to stay in education until you're 16.  This means that most schools will accept you, whether you've got good grades or not.  However, it all depends on what area you are moving to and if the competition to get into schools is high (some schools only accept students who live within its catchment area, for example) and whether it is a state or public/private school.


  2. the system is different in england. you cannot fail a year at school or get kept behind. if you didnt get enough gcses in year 11 you can't go into year 12 but year 9 and 10 arent serious.
