  1. i feel similar to you. i go back tuesday, and i don't really want to either.

you could be feeling this way for a number of reasons.

    1. you're nervous and anxious. and that's ok. lots of people get that way. will your friends be in your classes? will you make the team? will my classes be to hard? will the drama with so-and-so start again?

-you have all these thoughts going back and forth, and it's hard to see anything good/fun coming out of going back to school. try sort out what problems you have, and try to resolve them, at least in your head. worried about friends? call them up an see who you have classes with. worried about making the team, practice your swing. worried about getting good grades, make a study plan. worried about not looking your best, pick out a killer outfit!

    2. you don't want to leave summer behind. let's face it. summer is almost over. no more bike riding, beach trips, all night bonfires, sleeping in till noon, and no more freedom. it's back to curfew, tests, quizzes, teachers, homework, drama at school, grades, etc.

-but we just have to deal. summer may be over, but you still have the good memories! put pictures of your summer fun on your school binder/folder/planner. to savor the summer memories when you're sitting in school. and hey, we can still have fun!

    3. something major happened last year. you failed a class, you tripped in front of everybody, you had a fight with your best friend, or maybe you broke up with your boyfriend. and now, you don't want to deal with that all over again! try to make a pact with yourself, to move on from the past. it is what it is. as much as we want to go back in time, we can't. we can't fix every problem or every mistake we made. instead, we have to look towards tomorrow, and learn from our mistakes, woving to try our best to do better in the future.

    4. a combo of the above. nerves, they get the best of all of us. i had them when i switched from private to publice school for 8th grade. and when i went into highschool. and even now, going into my junior year, i'm worried about friends(who's still friends with me, and will i make new ones?) and boys(will i get a bf this year?), and grades(will i keep them up,a nd do better then last year?), and now i have the added pressure of having to think about colleges! ughhh. it's alot to deal with, and i'm defiently nervous about going back to school.

but i'm taking it one day at a time. i'm going to make due with what comes. i'm going to enjoy the friends i have, try to make new ones, meet guys-but not stress over if they'll end up a bf or not-, get good grades, and do my best, and narrow down my college choices one at a time.

i'm going to pamper myslef before school starts, so i feel my best, and i'm going to pick out an outfit i'll feel comfy and stylin' in. then, i'm going to drag my tired self out of bed, take a deep breath, and dive in!

and hey, everyone is probably feeling similar to you! we all think stupid thoughts, and get nervous over stuff that we exagerate in our heads! school isn't that bad, and once you start, you'll relize that!

good luck, and hope i helped!

  2. No one actually WANTS to go back.

    But, we all have to.

Everyone gets nervous before school starts. I' was always thinking stuff like "what if everyone changed over the summer, and they hate me?" or stupid things like that. But, I always went back and everyone was pretty much the same.

Its hard going back after summer. It sucks to wake up early, and it sucks to have to sit in class rather than hanging with your friends. But, when you get back it just starts to feel normal again. You might see friends you didnt see in the summer, and you might meet new people. So just relax. Everyone gets this way, but hopefully in a few weeks you won't even remember feeling this way.

I dont know what grade your in, but if your just starting high school or whatever, just know EVERYONE feels scared then.

    Hope it helps.

    xoDee

  3. Chill before you panic.

Back to school ain't that scary, i'm stating year 10 three days after you. but its just that you are waiting to go back to school and you are worrying about what will come, but soon as you get back to school you willl will have fun and, also it will be one day back to school then its the weekend.

so DON'T WORRY, it will be FINE!

  4. Maybe its Anxiety. Thats what I have, and im nervous about going back to school too. But I have one question? What is the point of you going back to school for one day next week? But anywayz.. see how school goes, and if your still really nervous a few days after it starts, tell your mom and see if she can take you to the doctor to put you on medication. Alot of kids need anxiety meds to calm down enough so they can go to school.
