Question:

Going Green in a small space?

I live in Los angeles in a one bedroom aprt. I have a med. sized balcony. I'd like to start growing organic veggies on it, but several people I've talked to said it's better to have a yard. Any experience's or ideas?

  1. Well, it's always better to have a yard for a garden, but some vegetables do grow quite well in containers:  Husky Cherry Red Tomatoes, Pea Poles (they hang over the basket) and bean poles.  Bean Poles will cling on to anything and can get quite bushy...but once in season you'll get plenty of fresh vegetables with minimal work.
