  1. i agree with one of the other anwsers!!my diving coach and mom always said you dont have to wear one cuz the water stops the flow while you are in there!!!and i alwayz wore a pad until we got in the water!!or your not that young i started using one at 12 and that was like last year!! and if you can have a period now then you need to use the right stuff!!so just try i was nervous at first then i just did it!!but if you are close to your mom ask her to help!! thats what i did i tried it by myself first then it worked so she didnt have to help me!!

  2. just wait for it to be over, then go swimming

  3. well, tampons would be your best option, swimming with pads is kinda gross and uncomfortable. The best thing to do wouuld be to wait until your period is over to go swinmming.

  4. NO UR NOT TOO YOUNG FOR THEM AT ALL I START USEING THEM WHEN I WAS 10 AND I WAS FIND JUST DONT STAY AT IN LONG OR GET OUT AND CHANGE THAT ALL !! HAVE FUN !

  5. Wearing a pad in the pool is gross and bad for the pool.

Swimming with tampons is fine. I don't think you are too young for a light-days tampon if you are old enough to have your period.

But if you aren't comfortable with using one yet, maybe just sit out until after a day or two of your period have gone by. After that, you might be able to go in with nothing, and then just change into your dry clothes and a pad right after.

  6. Too young for tampons is a myth. If our body is mature enough to menstruate it is mature enough to utilize a tampon.

Visit this site to learn how to use one:

and have fun at the pool!

  7. I used to be on a swim team in highschool. My swim coach would always say that you dont need to wear a tampon when youre swimming on your period. DONT ASK ME HOW OR WHY but your body reacts with the water and your flow stops while you swim, or something.  Just make sure that you go swimming as soon as you put your suit on. or I used to put on my suit, with a pad, then sneak to a bathroom and remove the pad before I went in the pool. Its a little more complicated than wearing a tampon but if you really want to swim you can try this.

  8. if you are totally uncomfortable with either wearing a tampon or going without anything.. than you could get a way with a very small liner pad. (VERY THIN)
