would you reccomend not going directly to college after high school but instead to spend a year in a foreign country doing mission work?

  1. why don't you study abroad while you are in college?  I am about to move to Costa Rica to attend a master's level program at the University of Costa Rica  starting January next  year.  I have come in contact with a missionary who lives closeby where I will be living and I will be helping him and his wife with whatever they are doing there while taking classes.  I get to study and do mission work at the same time.  Education in other countries is different.  I almost like it better. :)  Maybe that is why I am studying abroad again for the third time.

  2. i would, but depending on what you're planning on studying but im going overseas to study and work and then coming back for uni

  3. personally I think its really good idea. Most teenagers have about a one year transition period between high school and college so it's not going to affect you a lot. The very good thing about it that colleges look for people who have foreign exchange experience its an extra plus.

Also if you want to get some scholarships it helps out a lot I mean a LOT because one if you go to another country you may learn another language. two if your going to do a career with something like foreign affairs or something along those lines then youll be prepared it gives you independance. I recomend it very highly

    Hope it helps
