Going away to college?

how did you deal with messing your family once you went away to college if it was hard for you because i am thing it will be very hard for me i have never been away form my family and am only living on campus because it is a requirement of my scholarship i have never sleep in a different room then the one i sleep in now in my whole life this will be a big change for me how cani make sure it is positive one

I sort of had the same situation.  I never thought I could leave home because I am such a family oriented person, but it has actually helped me.  I live an hour and a half away from home so I can go home anytime I need too.  So my best advice is to hope you are somewhere close to home so you can go home anytime you like.  Plus, your parents can always come up to visit you!  Even if your not close to home, you can always call or email to stay in touch, so its really not that bad.  But you will be surprised about how busy you are and you don't have time to miss your family.  And trust me- leaving home the first time when you tell them bye is the hardest part- i swear.  Good luck!  You will be okay, I promise!
