Going back in time...?

Would you recommend some good fifties music? I have been inspired by a delightful elder couple to go back in time and hear some good music that differs from the garbage I hear people singing in the halls at my school. Thank you!

I only go back to the 70's and 80's. Back wen music had a sense of humor. I love Kingston Trio, I know they are pretty old. Elvis was really revolutionary (and I don't use he term lightly). I hope you find something you like. Todays music is pathetic. All formula written.
