So I am dropping out of the work world for 4 years and going back to college to get my Bachelors in Business. I am giving up a good paying job (65k year), buy but I feel it is worth it because of more opportunities. I was going nowhere. Is this a good Idea?

I am older and have a lot of real world experience, and I am more focused on school now, I think it will be fine. ???

I will not have to work if I am good with my money, I have the GI bill to use, and can apply for the Hazlewood act (Texas) once it is up. Also, I have a place to stay for free. Big sacrafice, but also rewarding.

Also, my first semester is 15 credit hours..shoud I do more or less?

  1. I think its a great idea. I went back at 24 to college. All sorts of people these days go back to college. Don't worry what people think or what they will say. This is your life that you're fighting for, and you want better opportunities and the way that's going to happen is if you go back to college. Just stick to it, suck it up even in the classes you hate, and you'll get that diploma and doors will open to more opportunities. Good luck!

EDIT: 15 credits is full time, don't take anymore than that. Talk to an advisor. You might want to go part-time and then go full-time. Don't overwhelm yourself but if you think you can handle full-time from the get-go then go for it.
