Your going about it the wrong way man. Be yourself for heaven sakes, talk like you do with friends. Either that or you live under a rock.

Secondly, you are not going to college to fit in!  You are going to receive a quality education!

don't worry about today's slang

thank about when you where young and an older guy tried to use the slang you spoke as a teen/young adult most of the time they came off as dorks and losers.  

You don't want to be that guy.

just be you.  Talk to everyone the same that you would with people your own age.
