Do you think Ducati would field a three man factory team in 2009 (Rossi, Stoner and Melandri) and what do you think the chances would be of a 1,2,3 in the 2009 WC.

I personally cant see Rossi at Ducati in 2009, I really think he will finish off at Suzuki or stay at Yamaha if they improve.

  1. Well, I think that Ducati would be really happy to have 3 of the greatest riders in their team. But honestly, if this happens (although I don't believe it) don't you think it's gonna get a bit boring? Ducati on the first three places...

I do agree with you that it's hard to see Rossi on a Ducati bike. I'm sure that Yamaha will do anything just to keep him in the team! I guess that Rossi is only trying to scare his team so that they start working better! But if this is the way for Vale to win, let him move to another team...

  2. I have to agree with you on if he swapped teams he would go to Suzuki mainly as I know he was a great fan of Schwantz and Suzuki who would let him give them input into the bike but I feel the way Ducati work as a company would be too Formula one for Rossi liking. He's always liked riding a good bike but from going to Yamaha has proved enjoys it better when he's helped develop it.  It would probably be nice for him to be in an Italian team but I think his own strong personality would clash with Ducati. I would also like to hope that Yamaha get their finger out their backside and repay Rossi for all the hard work he's done and those world championships if it wasn't for him they may have never got very far.

  3. Cheryl think Rossi will finish with Moto GP this year and either go WRC or try Formula 1 as I think Ducati are quite happy with their two riders and Vale knows the new kids have more determination to beat him as he has been at the top for so long.

  4. I for one think that Rossi will learn in 08, that tyres had very little to do with the the results.

Yes. They were a " result " in the 07 comp, but not the whole picture.

Ducati are a racing firm. Simple as that. Look at there W.S.B record! They make a bike to just about win the race. They are not bothered about how much oil in left in the sump. They want the faster bit of kit out there.

Rossi, may quit next year, on top form. And who can blame him. If he does he will break [ another ] 3 records. Mainly the first one bean Ago's all time win list.

He may well end his racing contract with Sukuki along side his school boy hero, Caparossi on the Boys in Blue team.

If he comes home in 20th place at every race, he will still be regarded as the " Greatest Rider ever to ride a [ MotoGP ] bike "

People who ride all day in the dead W.S.B championship like the great Foggy ( OBE ) need to step up to the next level.

People like Rossi, cant step up as they are at the  highest level of the food chain already.

  5. Hi Cheryl H.  I think Melandri will ride his *** of to stop the idea happening. if he gets the same kit as Stoner hes gonna be right behind if not in front of him. I don't think there is going to be room for Rossi (as good as he is) unless they give him a new team to play with. doesnt have to be the works team does it.

  6. No I think he will stay with Yamaha and try to force them to go bridgestone.  At the end of the day it just isn't him its his whole team and I can't see ducatti going for it
