Going back to work?

: My doctor is going to release back to work on Wendsday. I have talked to my HR rep about taking Paid Family Leave he said I dont qualify for it. I talked to EDD and another HR person I know and I was told I do qualify for PFL the only thing is my job is not secure. I hate my job any way because of way I was treated when I was pregnant. Any Ideas on how I talk to this guy incharge of the HR department at work. I dont care if I loose my job But i would rather get fired than quit so I can hopfully collect unemployment. I I take the PFL after they told me I couldnt would it be like me quiting or would they still have to actually fire me.

they would still actually have to fire you because if you take it even after they said no your still just on leave
