Going barefoot in public?

Question

I'm a 28 year old male. I like going barefoot and usually am when I'm not at work, I Usually wear long and baggy Cargo Khaki pants and a t-shirt and usually just go into smaller stores shoeless. I've go in this one local record store barefoot all the time. The one guy who's usually in their(about my age) has never said anything but he kinda kept looking over the other day, The store has a tile floor and I was tapping right foot sort of without thinking about it(they were playing music in the store) and I guess he must of heard it over the music.

You wear shoes for health reasons like stepping on glass ect. you also dont want to get foor fungis. I too like to be bare foot and it makes ur feet hard so you have to take care of them more than others who wear shoes. I would not go into stores barefoot its unsanitary for u and others.

To keep it simple...... and not being mean at all. I assume that you want an honest answer.

Men wear shoes........ rednecks and little boys go barefoot or wear flip flops. You will figure this all out once you decide that you want to kick butt in the world.

Wait... you are 28 and have not figured this all out? Of course the guy was looking at you like you are an idiot. Currently you would look like the biggest doofuss in the world. Real men don't look sloppy. Many guys of any age don't get that. They do not exude confidence nor can they command respect.

It reminds me...... I should call my parents and thank them for teaching me all of this.

why would you do that...this world is one big germ and you are really picking up all kind of stuff walking out barefoot like that. If you don't like shoes why not try some kind of sandals or slides the ones that you just slip your feet in just a thought. OK now what's your question?

personally it nasty to leave your house barefoot because the  is  ground nasty with spit,etc. but yea he probably was not please.

Yeah, I didn't really see a question there ... but if you love goin' barefoot, do it!  And don't let anyone else tell you not to, it's your life and others can learn to mind their own business (called "dealing with it" which may or may not come with age).  But getting back to you, keep up the barefootin'!

Sarcasm aside, you can get a few nasty things walking in public barefoot.  Ringworm is the one that comes to mind immediately (not to mention stepping on someone's bubble gum, which may not make you sick, but is just plain gross).  It's just not safe.

why is this a question,walk outside bare foot ,when going into stores I don't want to see your corns,don't make this difficult plus your feet smells.Just joking but it's not that serious put some shoes on when going into a store.try a flip flop,or a sandle thingy your know between the toe slipper.

I'd love to go barefoot everywhere. I try to now and then, but it's difficult. I like driving barefoot, and longboarding barefoot, but it hurts after a while! I'm just too sketched out about stepping on broken glass somewhere! It's everywhere!
