Well, most primates kind of snack all day.  That goes with the idea that you should eat five or six small meals throughout the day.  Most people do feel hungry every hour and a half or so.  And studies show that eating something for breakfast is really important.  It doesn't have to be the biggest meal, but there should be something that isn't coffee.

    if we look at humans throughout our evolution, we have only had access to surpluss (stored) food for afew thousand years... so before that, people would need to work for their food during the day, meaning they would probably be eating later on in the day...

    Simple like this... Vegetal the morning and meat evening...

    Eat breakfast like a king, dinner like a prince, supper like a pauper or your metabolism wouldn't burn fat well and you'll pack it on.

    Carbohydrates are good when you start your day. Protein is better later in the day.
