  1. Join a homeschool group and participate in their clubs, sports, and co-op classes

Do your own school work while your friends are in school.

Take classes for homeschoolers at museums, science centers, theaters, wildlife preserves, etc.

    Volunteer in the community.

Take classes at a local art studio.

    Take horseback riding lessons.

Go on "field trips" to places in your community... Go see a play, visit a museum, historical landmark, science center, recycling center, zoo, park, anything. Find places you can go that tie in to your studies, for example, if you're studying Biology you could go to nearby streams or ponds to collect specimins to examine under a microscope, or if you're studying Chemistry you coul dconduct an experiment to compare the PH levels of different bodies of water in your home town, or of the drinking water in different parts of town.

    Become a tutor.

Join a band for homeschoolers at a local music shop or music school. Just look in the phone book for music lessons in your area. Many offer band class, chorus, or orchestra for homeschoolers as well as individual voice and instrument lessons.

    Take up kiyaking.

Join clubs that are open to both students and adults. Check your local community center, or a homeschool group may host activities at a local community or youth center.

Go to the library and read

Take up fencing, swimming, martial arts, or any sport that you can spend time practicing. Homeschool groups have sports teams, and some private schools let homeschoolers play on their teams. You can also see if your local public school is required to allow HSers to participate in clubs and sports.

    Get a job!

Babysit a child who isn't in school.

Volunteer at a daycare or preschool, or a local elementary school.

Find things you're interested in learning and research them. Do some creative projects and experiments. You're homeschooled. You can take charge of your education andmake it fun. Not all your work has to be assigned to you by someone, and not all of it has to feel like work!

Google "Home Science Tools" and check out their website. If you have some extra cash, buy a kit that interests you and enjoy!!

    Design a website

    Create a yearbook

Hang out with other homeschoolers. If you don't know any...JOIN A HOMESCHOOL GROUP!!!! Just google "homeschool groups <your area>".

    Do arts and crafts.

    Take up a hobby

If you're finishing your school work too early and have nothing to do before people get home...get ahead and do more school work.

The possabilities are endless. I'm homeschooled, finish my school work in about 3 hours each day, and always have pleanty to do. E-mail me if you need more ideas, but if I keep going here you'll have a really long answer. Just be creative!

  2. Make new friends. How? Find a homeschool group and participate in field trips and other activities, find opportunities for volunteering, sports for kids your age... Ask your parents for help, too!

Learn about all the things you wished you could have learned about in school but couldn't because your time had to be spent studying other things.

Take up a hobby that has always interested you: knitting, crocheting, drawing, writing poetry, home decor, gardening, ANYTHING.

  3. if your home schooled u should be doing everything people would be doing at school

    DUHHH
