Going deep sea fishing, what can i expect to catch?

and have any tips? for my half day trip? what kinda food should i eat on the ocean for lunch?

  1. If you are going on a traditional deep sea "bottom fishing" trip, from New York south to Florida,  expect to catch grouper, snapper, black sea bass, grunts, and other reef type fish.  You might also hook into a mackerel, cobia, big redfish, and even shark.  Thats one of this nice things about fishing in the ocean , you never know what you might catch.

    If you are going on a "trolling" type trip , you could catch king mackerel, sailfish, marlin, wahoo, and dolphin.  I would be you are probably going bottom fishing though.

    As far as food is concerned, don't bring anything too greasy or anything that might spoil in the heat ( mayo based salads or sandwiches).  Crackers, cheese, and subs are a good choice ( don't put the condiments on the sub until you are ready to eat, like the mayonnaise).  Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
