Going for a picnic in grounds of a big estate with my boyfriend . what food to do or ideas i could do to ?

ideas on food.. whats to do what to bring..xx

Look for a blanket that's fleecey on one side & water resistant on the other.  That way if the ground is damp, you'll stay dry.  You can freeze grapes to help keep food cold & they'll still be cool when you are ready to eat them.  

I like chicken salad stuffed pita, but they'll need to stay cool.  A nice leafy salad with dried raisins or cranberries, keep the dressing on the side until you're ready to eat.

Take some wine (if it's OK to take on the estate), some fruit (strawberries, grapes, apples, pears--cut apple & pear slices there), some cheeses, and some crusty french bread.

I would bring something sweet.  Cookies, brownies, cupcakes.  If your looking for something healthier make something like a fruit salad or a vegetable platter.  I would also suggest calling the person hosting the party and asking them if they need anything.

do some fun finger foods.  Make bite size sandwiches.  Bring unusual cheeses.  Make or buy some chocolate covered strawberries.  Bring a bottle of champagne
