  1. Hahaha Figure Skating is way more expensiver than Hockey that is a big jump from hockey to figure skating. You will have to have nice posture and not break in your waist and i reccomend you a butt pad haha

  2. it depends on what level ur trying to get at. if your rink has the usfsa basic skills program, right after basic 6 it gets hard. you have to really be cautious of the toe pick because you'll be using it in a lot of jumps and spins. like bunny hops, ballet jumps, toe loops, etc. it really depends on how well you learn things. but it was hard for me and now im in freeskate 1. well, good luck!!!

  3. one word of advice watch the toepick haha

  4. The balance from hockey skates to figure skates will be different because figure skate blades are longer than hockey blades which will change the balance when doing things, but you should have a good idea with crossovers and skating backwards. It will still be hard work learning how to figure skate, but any sport has it's challenges and as long as you work hard you can be a good figure skater!

  5. the balance will become a HUGE DIFFERENCE

  6. A friend of mine, who is a hockey player tried on figure skates, and said his back was sore the next day, so the posture and balance is very different. Crossovers are definitely different, you actually have to think about making them beautiful. But if a figure skater can become a pro hockey player then why not the other way around.

  7. Backwards cross-overs are way different. You have to be able to do a lot in a row, not just 2. Figure skating isn't that tough if you start out right in the begning and not from the middle. So start with the first levels and move up, even if you think that the first levels are too easy and you might think that you already know that stuff, it will help you later on.

  8. if you have seen the cutting edge you will probly think think it is hard because of the toe pick everything is the same just remember the toe pick! also remember no pads so it will hurt more if you fall
