A friend and I are going from Ottawa to Montreal on the greyhound bus. After that what busses do we take to get to La Ronde and about how long should it take?

  1. The Berri-UQAM Metro (subway) station is located right next to the inter-city bus terminal.

For a lovely walk through the park: take the metro direction Longueil-Université de Sherbrooke station (yellow line); get off at the first stop: Metro Jean-Drapeau. Walk Through the park to La Ronde is 15 minutes.

No walking: Take green line towards Honoré-Beaugrand, get off at 2nd stop (Metro Papineau) and take bus 169 Ile-Ronde (south). Total travel time is 33 minutes.

(Once you've entered the subway, don't forget to grab a transfer stub for the bus)

A great tool for transit questions in Montreal is called "tous azimuts" on the STM website. Have a great time.

  2. I did this trip (coming from the East Coast though) once as well, but it's been a while...

Anyway, you'd probably get a lot more answers if you asked this in the Montreal section and asked how long it took to get from Berri-UQAM (that's the name of the bus station you'll be arriving to) to La Ronde by bus.

Also, I'm pretty sure you'll need to take a city bus from the station, as I doubt Greyhound goes to La Ronde directly.
