Going into 9th grade, which language????

Ok, i have to choose between spanish or french, please help me choose, i cant decid- o if this helps with the decision i live in CT and plan to be an actress

Connecticut....closer to Canada, therefor consider taking French, but even still, you'll probably get more use from Spanish

Spanish is the more useful language in the Americas (North and South America, including the U.S.), but on a global, international scale, French is more useful.  Also, French is a major root of English, which is mostly derived from German and French, so French can actually help you a little more with your English vocabulary.  I got an 800 perfect score on the critical reading section of the SAT, and I think the fact that I took French for all four years of high school helped me do that.

I think Spanish is the best choice, you'll get more use out of it.

Spanish is much more useful.  I'd go with Spanish and take up French in college if you really feel the need to learn it.  I started out with Spanish and I've been able to use it frequently over the last decade.  It's extremely handy in a lot of urban or southern places here in the US, not to mention when you're on vacation!

spanish, trust me. go down south a bit and theres a large population of immigrants who speak it. don't learn french, its hard and french canadians are s****. and no one likes them so you don't want to learn french so you can speak to them and no one really speaks french in the U.S.

don't say you plan to be an actress, so you HOPE to be because most people aren't going to be an actress, no matter how talented they may be there are only so many people that can be a succesful actress. language shouldn't affect being an actress

do spanish first an then in 10th grade do french, spanish in 11th, and french in 12th

Spanish is becoming one of the most spoken language in the usa and if you want to take other language you could take french.
