Going into Year 9, taking my options and have no idea what to take?

This year I'm going into Year 9 (8th grade I think in America). We take our options, you know when you choose which subjects to take? Well, I heard you're supposed to pick what corresponds with whatever job you'd like to do in later life.

I have no idea what I want to be, and I'm worried that I might not pick the right subjects to take for GCSE if I make up my mind later..

Will they talk to us about this, do I just pick what I enjoy and go with the flow, or do I seriously need to think about my future?

I'm 13, and I feel it's unfair to make us decide on our careers so early.

  1. Relax you don't need to pick anything that's relevent to your future career yet. The first few years of high school are basically exploring your interests and what doesn't work for you. It doesn't really matter this early. It's when you get to your last year that it's real important for you to choose courses that you like. So just relax and have fun and don't worry about choosing the right classes. Just choose what interests you.

  2. for where your from i think you only have to worry about that in college

  3. curriculum is different in different perts of the world so i doubt this is a good question to ask americans.
