...Where were you predicting your team to finish in their division?

How does it compare to where they stand right now? AND at the end of the season, where do you think they'll stand?

Going into the season, I was predicting the Red Sox to win their division. Right now they're second. I think they still have a chance to win their division, so I'm still sticking with my prediction that they'll win their division.

  1. Going into the season, i knew is was gonna be a long season ....the season started bad and it just got worst.....and now the pads have the worst record in the mlb and I'm guessing it will stay that way....

  2. I picked the Royals to take 4th place in the AL Central.  They're 1.5 games out of 4th right now.  I still think they'll take 4th place by 2 or 3 games over the Indians.  I figured they'd win 75 games this year and they should finish right around there.

  3. i predicted the red sox to win the AL east. and i still think they will. i seriously don't think the rays will win the AL east. they cud win the wild card but the sox will win the division for sure, i bet my buddy in florida who's a rays fan $100 that the sox will win the division, think that was a good choice? haha

  4. Lol I ignored the experts and guess that the Rays would probably finish in 4th just above the Jays. I expected the Orioles to take the division! Boy is my face red. But hey, if the Rays can win the division, I don't care if my prediction was wrong:P More power to them

  5. I thought that the White Sox would be 2nd or 3rd and fighting for a wildcard. Instead we are tied for first place.

  6. i was predicting that the angels would win their division with Texas giving them some sort of fight.

I certainly did not think that the angels would be the best team in baseball. Its great they just need to stay consistent that's all :)

At the end of the season... i hope they get to at least 100 wins, they are one of two teams that has never gotten to 100. They were so close in 2002 though (99)

  7. I thought the Cubs would win the division. I still thought they were one of the weaker divisions at the beginning of the year. I thought the race would be just like it is just closer.

  8. I predicted that the Yankees would win the division. At the very least, the Wild Card. They still have a chance to go for the WC but it will definitely not be easy.

  9. I was predicting my A's to be in the basement. They just didn't have an opening day roster that would scare anyone. They played great for the first two months, and now they are on a 4-22 streak. They are 20.5 games behind the Angels in first and 10 games up on the Mariners who are in last. At the end of the season, I think they will be in third but only by a few games above Seattle. They just don't have an offense that can compete with anyone. Bob Geren also isn't a very good manager.

  10. I was predicting the Brewers to be near the top, the signs were all there after last season and the team has a lot of youth.

Right now I believe they will take the wild card. I still have hope that they could win, but the Cubs are too disciplined and taking every team down they play. But I am conviced they will take the wild card.

  11. Honestly i was thinking the Yankees were going to win the Division and maybe this year they could win the Ws, but as you can see so far those goals are not close :}

  12. Well I think we all thought that the Tigers would dominate not only the Central but the American League and we know how that's going. Few expected the Rays to be leading the division by Mid-August. We all thought the Cubs would be good but they have exceeded expectations and may be on their way to the World Series. I'd say it's been a very surprising year for me because I didn't expect anything to turn out the way it has.

  13. I dont want to talk about it : (

  14. I picked the Mets to win the NL East and they're in first place with a 2  game lead.

If the bullpen doesn't thoroughly implode, they should win the division, and hopefully get to the World Series.

  15. I figured the Dodgers would contend for the wildcard but seeing how lousy the NL West is they can win it outright. They won't get past the divisionsal round if they do win the division however.

  16. I picked my Cleveland Indians to win their division. I dont wanna talk about what they're doing right now....LOL

  17. I predicted the Yankees would win the division with some surprise pitching. Then the frigging injuries kept coming, and we're out some great starters and the best game calling catcher in baseball. I predict by the end of the year, George Steinbrenner is going to disown Hank and retake control. He's going to put on his n**i cap and club Cashman to death for not getting Johan. Then he's going to smack around Girardi for being a bigger waste of space than Torre ended up being. Then he's going to assemble the team and shoot one of them so the others get the picture. I'd vote for Ian Kennedy or Phil Hughes there. Then he's going to fly to vegas and drink beer and party with cheap hookers until he remembers why it's great to be the boss. Then he puts us back in the playoffs.

  18. I predicted the Pirates to finish, next to last, & they are living up to expectations.

By the way, you're welcome for Jason Bay!!!!!

  19. I think we all predict good things from our teams. At least I do.

I'm a White Sox fan and I predicted 2nd place and a wildcard win, but we are in 1st place. I thought we would be good, but I thought the Tigers would be better.

    EDIT//

Why the thumbs down? It was my persoanl prediction for my  team....

    Edit again....

Yeah your right. I've noticed, but I don't think I'll ever understand why giving someone a thumbs down for no apparent reason makes someone feel better.

  20. I was predictiong my rangers to finish last place in the division but right now they are in second. I know they will finish second because there is no way the angels will blow a 15 and a half game lead with about 40 games to go.

  21. My team is Arizona. At seasons start I predicted them to win the NL West. I still expect them to do that. Hopefully the Dodgers will start losing. At the end of the season, I think we will sweep the Cubs in the playoffs and end up in the world series, losing to the Angels in six games.

  22. I predicted the Yankees would either win the Division or be a Wild Card. The way they been playing lately unless they have one last drive left in them it's starting to not look that way. I will not give up in them though.

  23. I think the Jays are doing about what I would have expected them to do, given their useless GM and his philosophies.

It really sucks having the 4th best GM in a division of 5.

  24. Yes the Cubs are in First and i thought they would

  25. Going into the season, I thought that the division would be between the Red Sox & Yankees but the Rays surprised the heck out of me but I always feel confident in the Yankees making the post season even if right now they are 5 games back but still enough time to make it up. If they do fail to make play offs, I will move on & look forward to play offs & World Series & still watch it since I am a baseball fan

  26. I thought the Yankees would win the Wild Card, a VERY close second to the Red Sox with the Rays staying in it until July. When Wang went down I got a little nervous, then when Joba went down for 2 weeks I slowly began to realize that there wasn't enough time left in the season for my prediction to come true.

  27. I went into this year believing that my Cubs could repeat and win their division again. They are holding up pretty good to what I thought they could do, but they will have to continue to play good ball to hold off the Brewers and Cards. I think they will hold on and win the division, and hopefully make some noise in the post-season.
