  2. We did a Princess cruise a few years ago that included Colon, Panama and Limon, Costa Rica.  But we did not go to Belize.

In Panama we did a tour which was a trip by train all the way across Panama to the Pacific side, right along the canal most of the way.  The tour included a stop at the locks on the Pacific side, a tour of the vicinity, but not into Panama City, and then back to the Atlantic side where we had a tour of the old US Panama Canal compound.  The train trip was expensive, but now I have seen pretty much all of Panama (that I want to see).  The train ride was about an hour each way (its about 50 miles across Panama) and they served a box lunch on the train on the way back.  There was a little time for souvenir buying on both ends.

In Limon we also took a tour that also included a train ride.  The train picked us up right at the port gates and then went about 10 miles through the jungle to a small town where we got off and boarded a bus headed back to Limon.  The train ride allowed us too see how people live outside the city and there were a couple of stops, one for viewing Sloths in the wild and another at a bridge crossing a river in the jungle.  On the bus ride back we stopped at a banana plantation and drove through while our guide explained how they grow and are harvested.  I enjoyed this tour also.

I hope to make Belize on a cruise soon.
