Going on a 11 day cruise to Mexican Riverera, do they check luggage?

My husband smokes, but it says 200 cigarettes is all he can take, that will never do!! He also smokes wacky tobaccy ( alot) will they go through our luggage? His habit is so bad that we can't fly. I am SSSS at airports. Will that make any difference?

Wow your husband must be very near to get cancer or something. 200 cigarettes for a 11 day thats 20 or so per day! Yea theyre using airport technology to check luggage theese days so I wouldnt suggest taking more than allowed. But its an idea to pack 200 in your bag to.

Whats more important is to check where its alouded to smoke. Most cl want let you smoke in your cabin (except for a private veranda) or in the reasturant and otherwise in selected area only. You can also try to get some nicotin medicaments for the times when he cant smoke, that could help.

But I would strongly advice your husband to reduce his smoking quantity due to his own health... Johan

200 only...wow he must really like to smoke. Anyway, what if you just put 200 in his bag and 200 in yours. Hope that will do and if 400 isn't enough, you should go see a doctor and get help or something.

you can buy smokes on the ship if you need them fairly cheap as for the other, i know people who have carried it in with them not in there bags. they say that the real problem is not taking it  on it's taking it off when they get back.. but you can buy it every where in mexico if your brave... make him carry any that he takes  and leave him at the dock if he gets caught !!!!!!!!!!
