Going on a 13 hour roadtrip...HELP!?

Question

Okay, so i'm a thirteen year old girl, (On my dad's account...that's why it's a guy picture...) and i'm going on a 13 hour roadtrip from NC to Venice Florida. Any tips on beating the boredom?

I have:

An ipod

A portable DVD player

A very slow laptop which will not have internet access

A nintendo ds

1 1/2 very good books

Also, i am an only child and it'll just be me, my mom, and my dad in the car. I sometimes can get my dad to play games with me while he's driving, unless he's in a tough spot. My mom doesn't like games...lol...

I think you'll survive fine, as you'll probably sleep some too. Maybe keep a travel blog even though you won't be able to post it (or maybe just e-mail it to friends) till later? You can note the funny signs or weird people you see along the way.

Pick up another book or a couple of magazines?

Get a book on tape (or actually on MP3 file) to listen to (hey, if nothing else, maybe it'll help you doze off)

Do you like to do any kinds of puzzles or sudoku? an I Spy book

start a vacation scrap book get a camera and start by taking a couple of pics of loading the car  getting on the interstate every where you stop and once you get there dont stop take a note book and write down a little something for each pic as you take it also look for crazy signs like i seen a firetruck that said same day service any fire

You have FAR MORE than I ever did when going on roadtrips at your age.  Besides what you have, get out the atlas and track the ride.  Do research before you go, printing out information about several of the major towns along your route.  Save them without reading them, then read the info on each town out loud to each other as you pass the town.  Some towns have some pretty funny customs and facts that you may find entertaining.  Might even find a place to take a quick break and go check out and do a photo op...
