In November my family and I are going on a cruise, and 2 of the ports of call I have never visited. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on fun things to do there, or what the area is like, etc. The two ports of call are Grand Turk ( Bahamas? ) and Puerto Rico. Thanks!

  1. puerto rico- it depends what you want to do there is shopping or beaches also the rain forrest .

  2. I have not been to Grand Turk but I have to Puerto Rico. I would say go to the rain forest and check out Old San Juan. Old San Juan is not far from the cruise termal. Have a good trip.

  3. Dont worry about that.  As soon as you get on the cruise you will have so much to do it will seem like you dont have enough time to do it all.  Just be prepared for a great time!

  4. two great places there is plenty to do shop , snorkel , lay on the beach don't worry you will have fun

  5. The Grand Turks is not really a Bahamas island, but  a part of the Turks and Caicos Islands.  Here's a link to look at:

That island is not a usual stop for most cruise ships and you will be pleased to go there.  Its a former British colony and very much like Bermuda. Very pretty and also very expensive.

I am sure that you will be able to spend time at the beach and swim, para-sail, snorkel, or jet ski.

In Puerto Rico there are several main attracting which we saw on my two trips there by cruise ship.  One is the old city and the fort which is a US National Park area.  The fort is pretty interesting and the old city you may like if you just want to browse around and shop.  On a separate visit I also went to the Rain Forest.  Its a long bus ride from town but a nice tour.  Aside from that you can do any of the activities that afford time at the beach and swim, para-sail, snorkel, or jet ski.

  6. im not sure but have fun.
