Going on a cruise (cabo!) in 4 hours. What should I definitely do in Cabo San Lucas?

I dont really wanna pay for a shore excursion....they're so overpriced! Anyone been to Cabo and have suggestions? We're there for a day, and I dont wanna drink...I wanna do water sports!!!!!! Is there a place to rent jet skis? How to get to reefs to snorkel...etc...any good shopping? beaches to visit? thx! BTW, Im leaving in 4 hours to get on the plane!!!

Hola!  The great thing about arriving in Cabo on a cruise ship is that most of the activities and tours are based out of the marina malecon in Cabo San Lucas.  So you should have no problem finding a great tour, something you want to do, for the hours you are in the harbour.  

Just a note, any time a cruise ship arrives here in port, all the prices in town go up to about double.  That's everything from the shopping, to the restaurants to the tours.  Its like that in any tourist town.  I laughed recently because a waiter handed me the "wrong menu" the one that was priced for the cruise ship traffic.....and I'm a local.  I couldn't believe that the prices were double!

You can rent jet skiis right on Medano beach which is close to where you will disembark.  Its a little ways out of town for a snorkeling trip - but there are many tours that will take you either by land or by boat.  They visit Chileno and Santa Maria bays.

From Medano Beach  you can rent jet skis or paddle boats etc.  There are lots of little jewelry and souvenir shops in downtown.
