Going on a cruise on new ventura in summer have bought 2 ball gowns for the formal nights?

worried that the dresses will be to formal any suggestions and do people wear ball gowns on po cruises

Usually long or mid little black dress type. Not the poof out type ball gown. You can wear anything smart, black pants and evening top/ sequins . You do not have to attend formal nights if you do not wish too, eat else where

Cruises can be as dressy or as casual as you want them to be. Captain's Dinner requires " dressy " but not too formal. A little back strapless dress, knee lenght is fine. Happy sailing.
