  3. 1. are there electronic (U.S) outlets on carnival cruises?  Yes, there are.

    2. does the boat ever jerk?   The boat doesn't jerk but it will sway, rock and roll.

    3. is the wireless service slow?   On the cruise ship I went on, there were only 3 computers so I didn't bother trying them out.

    4. anything i should or should not pack?   Pack lots of shorts, jeans, and a light jacket.  Bring sunscreen!

    5. are the pools gross?   I'm not a pool person - I wouldn't go in them no matter what.

    6. is the service good? would they steal anything?   The service was OK, and yes I do believe the staff could steal anything.  Carry your valuables with you at all times.

    7. is there a "formal evening"?   Usually at least one night, yes.

    8. are there elevators/escalators?   Yes elevators but usually only a couple and they are slow.

    9. has a cruise ship ever actually SUNK?   Yes, maybe of them.  My husband and I went to Greece last year in April and a week before our trip, the cruise ship we were going to go on, the Sea Diamond, sank.  They found another ship for us but it was very weird!   They got everybody off board except two people went missing and were never found.

    10. how old do u have 2 be to gamble?    21, always.

  4. 1) yes you get 1 US standard outlet so bring an extension cored if you want more

    2) from time to time the ship may sway a little but it is not much

    3) I brought my laptop and had used it (after paying for the Internet service) and it was a good speed

    4) No food is allowed on the ship (by passengers) and it might be a good idea to have rain ponchos just in case

    5) pool always are very clean

    6) the service is awesome and I have not even heard of anything being stolen and they do have a small safe for any money, credit cards and other valuables you have a concern

    7) at lest 1 and on a 7 day 2

    8) elevators are plentiful  and stairs are nearby I used them  for just for one or two floors

    9) as far as Carnival Corporation goes I am pretty sure the last ship out of all the cruise lines they own, including Princess, Cunard, Holland America, P&O, Norwegen, and more..... was the Titanic of Cunard and that was before Carnival Corp owned them.

    10) 18 to gamble 21 to drink

  5. 1. Yes. Keep in mind there's only one outlet per cabin!

    2. The boats can jerk/rock. Even though they're equipped with stabilizers, the boats (especially the smaller ones) can rock in heavy seas. The Sensation is a medium sized ship for today's standards. It shouldn't rock too much unless you hit bad weather.

    3. The regular connection is slow, so I imagine wireless isn't any better. If you're not bringing your own laptop, I'm not sure if wireless is worth it since you  have to rent the laptops. The regular computers are free to use though (as in, no rental fees). There are by-the-minute fees to use the Internet though, wireless or not.

    4. http://carnival.com/CMS/FAQs/Dress_Attir...

    5. There can be a lot of people in the pools. I believe they use salt water for the pools too. I'm not sure though, as I don't go in the pool. I'd say the pools are probably as clean/gross as any pools at land resorts.

    6. The service is great. Yes, there are some bad apples in the bunch, but for the most part, the service is great. These people truly enjoy serving you and making sure you have a good time. I've never encountered anyone stealing anything. I wouldn't count it out though. Better safe than sorry.

    7. Yes, there is at least one formal evening. On longer cruises (I think 7+ days) there are two. These are optional.

    8. No escalators. But there are elevators. There are usually several banks of elevators, as well as stairs.

    9. Yes, the Titanic comes to mind... There have been a couple sinkings lately, but not nearly as many as decades ago. I wouldn't worry about it. The odds are pretty slim anything major will happen on your cruise. For reassurance, I recommend you go to the life boat drill on the first day. You'll learn how to get to your muster station/life boat, and what to do in an emergency.

    10. Carnival and most other cruise lines have an 18 age limit for gambling. Princess is 21.

  6. 1. are there electronic (U.S) outlets on carnival cruises?

    Yes

    2. does the boat ever jerk?

Not really.  Sometimes a fluid motion.

    3. is the wireless service slow?

Yes.  And expensive.  95c/minute, though can be as low as 40c/minute if you buy a package.  Don't plan on doing any real work.  If you want to use the internet, do so while you're in port.  Look for internet cafes.  Crewmembers will also often tell you where they go while in port (they like the internet too).

    4. anything i should or should not pack?

No weapons, drugs, or alcohol.  (If you pack a special bottle of wine that's OK, though they will charge you around $15 "corkage fee" if you want to drink it in the dining room.  But don't pack a bottle of vodka, that may be confiscated.)

Do pack comfy shoes, a swim suit, and a formal outfit if you want to eat in the dining room on formal night/s (see below)

    5. are the pools gross?

Gross?  No.  They're clean, often completely drained every night.  Children in diapers are not allowed, obviously.

    6. is the service good? would they steal anything?

The service is very good.  And I'd be less concerned with theft on a ship than at even a nice hotel.  Since there's nowhere to go, it'd be pretty easy to figure out who did it.  That said, there's no reason to t leave precious stuff lying around, since each cabin has a safe.  Or you can leave stuff with the front desk; they have an extra-secure lock box.

    7. is there a "formal evening"?

Yes.  At least one on a 3-4 night cruise, often two on a 7 night cruise.  That said, on Carnival you can get away with a nice button-down shirt and slacks.  If you want to wear a tux/suit/tie you can, but you generally don't have to.

    8. are there elevators/escalators?

    Elevators, not escalators

    9. has a cruise ship ever actually SUNK?

All ships that sail into US waters (like Carnival) are inspected regularly by the Coast Guard.  They are very safe.

    10. how old do u have 2 be to gamble?

    18.

  7. I'll answer the ones I can for ya! Outlets should be good, never had a problem. Never felt a ship "jerk" but sway yes. Its not common but it can happen.  I used internet a couple times and didnt have a problem w/ it being slow.  Pack a good pair of walking shoes, like tennis shoes especially if you plan on doing any excursions. Also water shoes are good for being in the ocean.  Pools on ships are normally clean, havent seen anything "gross". Most ships have 2 formal night on a seven night cruise and 1 night on a 4 night cruise.  There are elevators not escalators. They can take a few minutes if the ship is full or if teenagers are playing on them(no offense if ur a teenager).  Not sure about the gambling(not a gambler)but its either 18 or 21 and you can not gamble in port.

Hope this helps you a lil bit
