  1. If stopping in Ocho Rios Jamaica, Dunn's River Falls is the thing to do.  A trip to the craft market is also advisable.  If going to Montego Bay, have a red strip and jerk chicken at a local shop (I'm not much on MoBay) just to get off the ship.

In Grand Cayman, visit h**l and the turtle farm.  Both are in the same side of the island.  h**l is 4 acres and has a post office so you can send a card stamped from h**l to prove you already have been there.  The turtle farm is just educational.  Two words of advice on the Caymans:  Don't buy anything with turtle shell--they are endangered species and the Cayman $ is about US$1.20 so when a burger that costs $5.75 it's really about US$6.90.  Just cause the rates are "$" doesn't mean they are US$.  Enjoy the cruise.

  2. The best excursion in Grand Cayman is the one they never seem to offer, i.e. the Botanic Park, taking in Pedro Castle en route.

Try Sting Ray City instead. You can have an interesting time walking about George Town, as the Harbour is right in town and everything is within easy reach. There are buses for going further up Seven Mile Beach which are far cheaper than the tours. See whether you can buy a copy of the leaflet entitled "Walking round George Town", which points out the interesting features.

You don't say where you're going in Jamaica, but if it's Montego Bay, don't miss the Dunn River Falls. You can enjoy yourself there without struggling over the cobbles to get to the top, with the risk of falling and hurting yourself, as there is a convenient flight of stairs to the side leading to the beach.

  3. Correction on the answer above...Dunn's River Falls is in Ocho Rios NOT Montego Bay.  But if you are stopping in Ocho Rios, the falls are definitely worth it.  Make sure to shop through the craft markets too.  If you are stopping in Montego Bay, go to Margaritaville.  It's right on the water with activities and the food is pretty good too
