  1. No way can you play a better game in 2 weeks. Take what you have, play the easier courses and enjoy yourself.

  2. play before you go and just try your best.....no dramatic stroke loss can happen in that little time but you could get 3-4 stroke off

  3. There's some good help guides at http://www.golfguide.synthasite.com.  Ive used most of them and they helped my game greatly.

  4. just try to practice as much as you can before hand but it looks like you dont have much time. My advice to you is just go out there and dont worry about what people think and just enjoy yourself. Golf shouldn't be about being nervous. Just go out there and do your best and have a good time.

  5. As you already are aware, SC golf is HARD!  Lots of opportunities to lose golf balls, so the first bit of advice I would have is to bring lots of them.

Second, if you're not happy with your game and aren't sure you'll keep up with your friend and his dad, time to face reality and go for the forward tees.  Hit irons when possible - in fact leave the driver at home!  When you have some confidence in your iron shots, then bring out the fairway woods, but no longer than a 3 wood off the tee!

If you can keep it in the fairway, you'll be fine.  You'll give up distance following my advice, but you'll have shots that are a lot more playable and therefore more enjoyable.

    Have fun!
